Tribute and Honor Awards
In February 2026, the 5th Annual Tribute and Honor Awards & Gala in Long Island, New York, drew a record-breaking crowd to celebrate individuals and organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. During the event, Simone Renaud was posthumously honored with the Front Runner Award for her exceptional dedication to preserving the memory of American soldiers of World War II, strengthening the historic bond between Sainte-Mère-Église and Locust Valley, as well as the legacy of remembrance she inspired. The distinction was accepted by her son, Maurice Renaud, President of the AVA, who traveled from France specifically for the occasion.
